or seaweed as it's generally called. Would love to able to name them precisely but finding resources fairly hard to find.

Did you know that seaweeds don't have roots... just holdfasts to keep the tide and surf from pushing them around. Doesn't always work as we see by the delightful samples washed up on the beach.

From left to right.... species names only and I think I've got that bit right.
1. Caulerpa
2. Codium
3. Chaetomorpha (I think darwinii)

But don't take my word for any of the above.

Lovely morning... hardly a cloud in the sky and a nice walk and fossick along the beach with J and two kelpies and two border collies.

And a PS... Item 3 Chaetomorpha is the one that looks like a strand of peridot beads. Posidonia Australia is the strappy weed in the background of all three photos... it's the main seagrass in this bay.
