Antipodean Albatross

This is another albatross we have in. Has come in v hungry and dehydrated. It is also in kidney failure. We have a drip in its leg( blue bandage) so it’s getting lots fluids. This beautiful fellow is huge- 8 kg in weight, wings have a 3 metre span. Today he was launching the huge beak at us. I think he was a little brighter. It’s going to be a long journey.
