A bridge too far.

After some detail work on the tree house ( see extra) we took the afternoon off to cycle along the river at Mayenne. The track followed the wide mature river and apoarently runs for more than 100 Km. We decided to cycke for an hour abd then turn around. The bridge was our point of return. 
The old and new featured together with disused mill biildings alongside hydro electric stations. Each in turn had harvested the power of the river. 
Grateful for a scenic bike ride, a chance to enjoy the French countryside ahd a welcome dinner of chicken and roast potatoes.
