Market day

Wednesday
Weather not nice enough for a walk, so we caught a bus to town instead and played at being tourists. Wandered down the Royal Mile and popped into the tron kirk to browse the artists' market. After that, we continued down towards Holyrood and visited the museum of Edinburgh.
It was all quiet at the Parliament - I think the main event was happening at Bute House instead.
Stopped for a coffee and cake at Loudens, then headed over to John Lewis to look for some material to recover the kitchen bench, but couldn't find anything suitable.
Repair works on our road finished by the time we got home, so able to get the car out and drive to the gyle for a supermarketshop.
