baby dragon tree

I know I'm being a bit fanciful, but as I was looking at this image, I kept seeing little dragons writhing out from the trunk. To much of the hard sauce maybe (as Auntie Jean would say)

This is at Kay Bros. Amery Vineyard in the McLaren Vale, south of Adelaide. We had been wine tasting, and eating excellent food at Ekhidna.

Now I've gone and spent Saturday cooking for 9 people for Sunday lunch. I'm stuffed.
How's this- my autumnal feast- duck confit with walnuts and celery, mushroom and leek soup, a Greek styled lamb casserole with peppered feta, and quince, rhubarb and apple crumbles with home-made pomegranate ice cream. My aim is to get everyones arteries to seize up!
