Blonde

Another lovely day - sunny but blowing a bit of a hoolie - and I did some sorting and laundry before a call about fundraising, then drove down to meet A and Paisley where they’d parked while coming to stay overnight with me and we came home for a sandwich lunch before she went off for her hair cut and colour and I went to have two separate meetings over tea with NCP and then (with scones too) DH. Good chats with both, including about politics, ex-colleagues, travel and concerts as well as the stuff we needed to get through.
The funeral was on today of the firefighter who died in the Jenner’s fire…saw them clearing away the barriers down the royal mile as there had been crowds and firefighters lining the whole route..so sad but wonderful support from his colleagues and the town for his poor family.
Walked home fast and after browsing several places to go for supper we just popped round the corner to the Auld Hoose and she had a chilli dog and I had mac and cheese. She had dithered about what colour to have done (as usual!) but was pleased with the honey blonde highlights that she decided on and was very pleased with how it came out. Long conversation about family then home to watch some Rihanna and Beyoncé on YouTube with her explaining the finer points of their performances to me!
