My grandsons seemed to have got over the sickness they've both had, so I set off for my daughter's in Swansea at 8.30am. I reached Strensham Services, my usual stopping place, and got a WhatsApp from her saying that she thought both boys had scarlet fever... Oh dear, but I was halfway there and I'd had scarlet fever for my 6th birthday - I remember it well as I'd had roller skates but couldn't use them - so I decided to carry on!
I'd planned to walk up Kilvey Hill on my way, but then it turned foggy and began to rain, so I couldn't see the point and went straight to my daughter's. I wasn't expected yet, but I was welcomed!
This is Josh building with his domino bricks, which he loves. Thomas, on the right, is keeping the knockdown ball safely in a container until the build is finished.
