One Street

It has been quite overcast most of the day but we have only had a little drizzle. We went to the new phase of the Walton Lea Project which was officially opened today. Walton Lea is a local project that has been set up to provide supported employment for adults with learning difficulties, mental health problems, mobility issues and the early onset of Alzeimers. The new project, which is to restore and sell old furniture, has been funded by a lottery grant and sales of the furniture will help towards the ongoing funding of Walton Lea.

I took a stroll along my One Street (the Bridgewater canal) this evening. A number of boats were being tied up for the evening, dog walkers were out in force and the male swan was swimming on the canal while his mate sat on the nest on the far bank.

Some more images from my stroll this evening.
