Kestrel

Flying high and surveying the field below, this kestrel was enjoying the warmer, sunnier weather this morning. I've got a friend's dog for the weekend and so we were out for a long canal walk this morning.
And I saw a few celandines which I always think are a harbinger of Spring although having looked at the weather forecast for next week I see that sleet is forecast!!
