Kaukola - kylä joenniskalla

Nina was the first one from our photography studies class, who has her exhibition. Today was opening in Kaukola Village House in Sastamala. I have been very tired lately, so hubby kindly came along and was my driver.

Nina has photographed people who live in Kaukola, and how Hartolankoski rapids, Kokemäenjoki river and Tyrvää Water Power Plant are part of their lives. Almost all of my class mates were there and also Kaukola village people, who took part to Nina's project. It was great event! The large work in the photo was different from Nina's other photos, it was taken with an old View Camera. There is combined a dancer’s movement and the power plant.

It snowed quite heavily. Took the extra photo when we left back home, and we saw Goldeneyes in the river! What a surprise! Have they stayed the whole winter there? Quite extraordinary.

Ilona is visiting Finland again, and she came in the evening to pick up Emma. It was lovely to see her!
