Narrow depth of field

I love playing with depth of field and deciding what's in focus and what out of focus.  It's great for drawing the eye to a specific place within the image. Another great feature about narrow depth of field photography is that you can get the background to sparkle.  As most of you will know, throwing the background out of focus in this way is called the bokeh effect.  These two images were from the back garden, so as you can see no walk today!
