De Horsten Theepaviljeon

Went to this charming little tearoom in De Horsten Wandlepark near Wassenaar to meet a friend this afternoon. Part of the Royal Estates De Horsten, it was originally the shooting lodge of Prins Frederik, brother of Willem II, built in 1861. It has been an English Tea Room since 1987. Despite it being only 5 miles from home I've never been because dogs are not allowed in the park. If I'm going to go for a walk I usually want to be able to take my dog. The grounds and woods were lovely too so I will be going back with the big camera and minus the dog very soon!
