One Flew Over the Council's Nest

Someone took it into their head to paint a seagull on Bray Pier. They also added a St Brigid's cross, a railings with Jonathan Livingston Seagull and added a few pages of the author's work on the wall. The Council are not happy about it and will be taking care of it in due course (their words not mine). It will presumably will be put on the list after they fix the street light at the top of my road which has left that part of the street in darkness for the past few months. There are also a few footpaths that need to be sorted as well, they are major trip hazards especially for the visually impaired and the elderly. You wonder where the person came up with the idea to paint the seagull and accessories. Were they lying in bed thinking now that the ceiling is painted I must move on to something more creative.

It will go probably go the way of the house in Sandycove which ended up like this.

Here is what the local press said about the Bray Seagull painting.
