Digging for Lugworm

It was the first day of the holidays for our son, daughter in law and grandchildren and the weather was like early summer. Mild with clear blue skies. We went to Goodrington Beach first to collect shells, had lunch at the Cantina, then a walk round the lakes at Clennon Valley. On the beach a man was digging for lugworm for bait. Looking on the internet this is a bit of a science. This man was moving around constantly searching for a fruitful piece of beach.  Apparently the best tool to dig for blow lugworm is a potato fork, because the flat prongs are less likely to pierce the worms, and this is what he had, as well as a bucket.
In Youngs Park nearby a small group of people were congregating under the bandstand with a banner saying Stand in the Park. Not something I had heard of but I looked it up.

A Stand in the Park unites people in parks all over the world every Sunday morning, 10-11am local time. ‘We Stand in the Park to celebrate freedom, diversity and fairness for all. Brady Gunn started A Stand in the Park in Hyde Park, Sydney, Australia. Brady made a Stand, alone at first, for his personal truth.’
