Pray Without Ceasing!

Because Texas weather can be capricious, we at FBC  were treated to a beautiful balmy morning and afternoon----very different from last week's foggy drive to church and chilly temperatures.  Inside the doors, the fellowship was sweet and comforting as we came together to lift our voices in worship and praise to God in a congregational opening song.  That was followed by a reverent, but joyful song from the choir and all the various musicians who honor the Lord with their talents each Sunday as we presented "Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me".  Then Pastor Wes spoke to us from Matthew 6:5-15 concerning the importance of prayer in our lives as believers and members of the church body.  He started with why we are to pray(because God commands it), where(in a private place, though there is also a time and place for public prayer), how often (always, in every situation and without ceasing) and how do we pray (with absolute faith and dependence on God Who loves us more than we can imagine and Who wants what is best for us).  Pastor Wes had much more to say about all these things and more which you can find in the live-stream which would be well worth your time to watch.  Great things can be accomplished, even in a world as troubled and broken as ours when people turn to God in true repentance and prayer,  Our church body wants to be a church that prays.  Do you want to be a part of a praying church?  I do and we would love it if you would come join us.......
