Spring is near the Red wing black is here

Today was a mild 9c. I got down to the park in the morning and spotted the first Red wing black bird of the season. It usually marks the beginning of spring when they arrive back to the lake. This year was the earliest I have seen them as it has been quite mild for most of the month. I did not see the one I feed by hand but I am sure he will be coming soon.
