Gardens By The Bay

Visited Gardens By The Bay today in the early evening. What an amazing structure, two huge domes. One of the areas was a bit too Disney-like for us (no offence to Disney fans!), but the flower dome was beautiful. It was a good time of day to go as we caught the sunset. The succulents were wonderful.

Earlier, a visit to The National Gallery (shown here) which is housed in the old City Hall and Supreme Court buildings. Very impressive in a different way. We got lost in the maze of floors, bridges and signage a few times. It's the kind of place that would be fantastic to be a member of if you were resident here.

At night, we wandered around Little India and then, tempting though some of the very cheap and cheerful places were, chose the safer option of Sahi Maharani in the Raffles City shopping centre for dinner. Slightly strange location for a very traditional restaurant with live music, but it seems like many very good restaurants are in shopping centres. We were 'taxi-challenged' a few times today and were very happy to eventually sit down in the restaurant before they took last orders for the day.

My extra has views of the gardens...
