Back-lit branches

I took this picture yesterday on the walk back from the RSPCA centre. These lime trees were cut back a couple of years or so ago to save them from the disease that had caused others in the row to become dangerous and requiring removal. Silhouetted against the sun they look a bit like oversized stick men but it won't be long before the regeneration process has them in full  spring leaf.
