ALONG THE ROAD LESS TRAVELLED

When I saw this path leading up to an abandoned building, I was reminded of my favorite sleep story on the CALM APP.:
SCOTLAND'S HIDDEN HIDEAWAYS, read by May Charters.

Scotland has many such abandoned buildings, called BOTHIES,
which are now used as temporary housing for hikers & bikers, who
need a place to sleep, on their journey.  Most are primitive, but Queen Elizabeth has 2 bothies on her Balmoral Estate; & they have bathrooms, &
sleeping platforms.  All travelers are welcome there, without reservations or cost.

There are many such buildings, all over Scotland & the world, maintained by an organization funded by donations.  Most of the buildings were once used for a sheep herder's hut, or homestead, or as Queen Victoria's stables, on Balmoral.  They were rescued by this organization who received permission to use them.

The building in my Blip would be a perfect BOTHY, for the many hikers & bikers who come this way.  You may wonder if that is snow on the mountains in the background.  Well, it is 75F (23.9C) today, very warm even for Southern California in February; so, no, it is not snow.

Check out my EXTRA & you will see, what it is that "looks" like snow.
