Looking for the beauty

A chilly Cardiff Bay

We headed for The Bay this morning to see Kieran as it's half term. The room rates at the Premier Inn were really reasonable as it's a Sunday night so we decided to stay overnight and enjoy part of Monday there too.
After a couple of wrong turns, we were a little late arriving so we literally dumped the car in the carpark, grabbed a bike each and pedalled as fast as we could over to Penarth to The Deck for Sunday lunch. We arrived at the same time as Kieran but were unable to move our fingers as the wind across from the sea was absolutely bitter.
We had a delicious meal and Kieran took on the challenge of a platter for two which had half a chicken, pork and beef, about 8 roast potatoes, stuffing balls, veg and 2 huge Yorkshire puds! You can see it on the extra but he's moved some over to his plate.  Afterwards, he joined us for a cycle to the Norwegian cafe (where Roald Dahl was christened) and then we cycled back to Penarth to his car. The main picture shows a cold Chris and Kieran.  He was so cold that he's wearing my waterproof jacket!
