Union Terrace Garden

I had my first wander through Union Terrace Garden at ground level this morning. The park is not quite finished as the turf still has to be laid. I have taken the liberty of superimposing a scene from an old photograph in roughly the same place. Maybe the grassy area will look like this in the summer.

There are several artworks at the southern end of the park. They include this head, which I am sure is a leopard. Leopards appear in the Aberdeen coat of arms.

The round UFO object in the sky is a light fitting.

A mostly sunny and relatively warm day again today. Certainly not the temperature we would typically expect in February. Although it is all wrong and disturbing from a "climate change" perspective, it is hard to say it is unwelcome in the short term.
