Cesky Krumlov…

.. in the Czech Republic has been our venue today. This holiday has thrilled us each day!

Cesky Krumlov, a small town of only 1300 inhabitants, is dominated by its castle, built out of the rock on the River Vltava. It’s past and more recent history have given it World Heritage status. Certainly well deserved. We opted for the tour and had another excellent guide. It is her home town and she shared some of her life experiences after the war, living under German rule and communism, knowing nothing of a world beyond Czechoslovakia. Very interesting.

After the tour we sat in glorious sunshine to eat lunch before exploring the cobbled streets for ourselves.
Well worth a visit.

We’ve had a wonderful week! Many gratefuls.
