Here Comes The Sun

I was up and out for the early morning light which now isn't that early.  I finally have to admit the year is turning.  This was at 6.46am.  On this date I always like to take a moment and reflect about the Christchurch Earthquake which now is twelve years on.  I wrote the date in the sand 22.2.11, knowing the incoming tide would wash it away.  I am big on transience.  The wind got up today and this evening it rained.  Listening to rain on a tent roof always sounds louder than it is and the gusts of wind also wake you up.  In the morning we woke to find ourselves safe and dry.
