Calves

We came to Chewton Mendip on Friday and there are 14 of us sharing a farmhouse. We are all old friends from school, college or Young Farmers so lots to talk about every year with the odd glass of wine thrown in as well - not forgetting the great food too. The house is well situated down a country lane and these cattle/calves are our nearest neighbours as their field is very close to the house. I woke this morning thinking that my mobile phone alarm was on 'vibrate' to then realise it was the cattle in the field. Sadly one of the calves has died whilst we have been here. We have excellent guides within our group and we have ventured on some great walks. We are all really amazed at the brilliant weather we are having and have had to apply suntan cream - its true!
