A birthday gift from our visit to the National Computing Museum
It said on the box “some soldering required”
So this afternoon Oliver & I had a look
Kept us occupied for nearly an hour, including setting up the soldering station (a couple of slate place mats, a soldering iron & an extension lead), assembling & soldering the board, finding some batteries & testing.
Oliver is most impressed that if you enter an invalid calculation (divide by zero), it just displays error : divide by zero instead of “crashing”
I’m impressed it has options to reprogram the chip , or connect to a computer
