Avenue of Beech Trees

How could you not delight in arriving home when you have to drive through this beech arch? Which, as I suggested yesterday, is looking especially splendid newly decked in budding young leaves. I don't know how old these trees are but I think we are looking at well over 100 years - and judging by the size that would be maybe 80 years younger than the trees I was standing under yesterday.
