A beautiful morning for a 22km run. Much needed as I am carrying a lot of emotional baggage that needs to be unloaded. But now is not the time; I still have to play the roles of father, teacher and husband.

The time for grieving will come soon, when I return to England next weekend. I think I can keep it together until then. I take comfort in the wonderful people I have around me; wife, children, colleagues, pupils.

I hope my brother has now found the happiness and ease that sadly seemed to elude him for so much of his life.
