A WELCOME SIGHT

Angus & I took advantage of a break in the relentless rain to take a walk along an arroyo, to see if water is flowing. We could hear it before we saw it, below this grove of native Oak trees. It was a welcome sight!
The wild animals drink from here, & they suffer when it is dry. Coyotes use this meandering stretch as their byway. Soon we will hear frogs singing.

We arrived home with only a few minutes to spare, before it let loose again. Today
it was a steady, gentle rain, but there was a brief period of hail. No snow on the mountains, that I could see, though.

We will get a break tomorrow, when the sun may shine, then on to the next storm on Monday. I hope that will be the end of the severe drought.
