LPC

WWF’s main UK location is in Woking, of all places, in a purpose built office known as the LPC. It seems like a fantastic workplace, running smoothly for 500+ people. Bird chirruping plays softly in the background, designed to dilute the sounds of calls and discussions in the large open plan space.

A packed day of meetings, including a presentation I gave about the landscape initiative in ‘boardroom’ style (most people attended on Zoom) to 60+ people, and lots of contacts with people I’d previously only met virtually. After a lunch with people in the Africa team we took a chilly stroll along the Basingstoke Canal which runs adjacent to the office. I’ve never had reason to visit Basingstoke, but I am open to ideas.
