Allan Bank

We planned our walk over breakfast. The intended destination Elterwater. I think about a two mile walk.

The climb up the stairs after breakfast changed that. Bones and muscles just too tired after yesterday.

Bit of a rest needed.

We did make it to Allan Bank. A National Trust property in Grasmere.

A willing robin nearly made the subject of my first photo this year but it got fed up waiting for me to remember how the camera worked and flew away.

V spotted a Red Squirrel hurrying along the top of a wall but that was about it.

There is a vegetable garden there and where we split up for a bit. V to head off in search of things to photograph and me to rest up on the steps of the bothy.

Wasn’t long before the cold got to me and I retreated in side the house where todays Blip is taken.

I did manage to use the camera to get my first image of the year, another Robin but that image is on the camera and this image on the phone and therefore easiest to Blip.
