A photo of its time....when people took pictures not staged or arty... with no thought of composition...a photo of a collection of unwashed scruffy Street kids standing in front of a terraced house in Walton Liverpool....I should know I was one of them!!!
I remember it being taken in front of my mums front window on a Saturday morning. I knew we were "unwashed" as that was the luxury of a Saturday morning....getting up....eating breakfast really quickly and desperately racing to play out in the street.
No hairbrush had been anywhere near our hair ! I am the one on the right of the photo in the stripey top....my mum had cut my fringe too....we never went to a hairdresser. I was about 8 in the "snap".
