It's not blue!

Here is my new passport, made in Poland by a French company. Apparently it's blue. All I can say is that it's not blue or claret, cost more money than the predecessors and is a lot less use than the predecessors...

Passport standards are international and the colour is required to be fade resistant and is normally made from a dark ink. Most, but not all EU passports are claret, as were my three previous ones. For reasons of stupidity many people believed that by leaving the EU the UK could have a blue passport again. This is sad and absurd on two basic fronts:

1. The British passports that were blue, were basically black, as dark blue comes out back when you make it into a passport
2. There is no EU rule that says your passport must be claret in colour - nor has there ever been one.
