Great Spotted Woodpecker

Today’s picture is of a Great Spotted Woodpecker, taken through the kitchen window; it was on the fat balls early this morning. I had hoped to get a better picture from the conservatory, but Dougal had other ideas and pushed open the conservatory door frightening it.
 
The temperature at noon today was six degrees Celsius.
