First Encounter

We travelled to Sheffield today for some Orienteering. I found the heather too much for my knee and spent some time tracking down a gully in the deepest part.

So I was rather glad to have the chance to meet Thomas and Beth’s new Fox Red Labrador puppy Stevie. What a delight and really enjoyed a cuddle. I also enjoyed listening to how they were coping with their first week with him. Quite a challenge as they were having a chimney removed in the kitchen to create more space.

Tom is coming to the end of his Engineering Degree at Sheffield University. He has an offer from Boeing for a graduate post which is good to have in the bag. He played rugby yesterday for Sheffield RUFC 2nd XV. Although he was pleased with scoring two tries he thought the game rather scrappy. However they did run out winners

The end of the visit came round only too quickly as we headed for home. Looking forward to more pup updates from Sheffield.
