Getting there

In the garden it's tempting to go round randomly doing things I've noticed that need weeding/pruning/moving. I am trying really hard to just stick to one section at a time - today I spent most of the day working on the main bed in the background of this picture, in front of the bench. Once I'd removed several buckets of weeds it was possible to see what has survived the winter (most things, but not our delphiniums) and what has been well and truly eaten by slugs (heleniums, asters). Generally I am happy with the end result though.
