Rainy Day Town

Hail made a racket on the carport roof this morning, rain came down in great blasts, foamy water flowed along the curb. We had to go out to an appointment and I amused myself with phone apps as Mr S drove along. It’s important to let you know I wasn’t driving while I did this. Further amusement when we got back home: post-processing apps, mostly Hipstamatic. I haven’t used it for awhile and really enjoyed trying all those effects. I keep coming back to this version—it reminds me of an old stereoscopic photo of ships, and travel in the snowy mountains, and an aging ski town. It is none of these things, of course, but there is something about movement and longing and days gone by. I like the lines and all the texture.
