Betty

I bought this concrete moulding of this little dog about a month after we lost a much loved dog called Betty. We were walking through a street market, I think Loughborough, and the stallholder had lots of garden ornaments. This one was so much like Betty that I just had to buy it. It was so heavy that we had to walk back to the car and sit her on the back seat. She’s now covered with this delicate green moss and sits just outside the French doors looking up the garden. The real Betty was what the kids called ‘an orange dog’ and she had a little patch of white on her chest. I have wonderful memories of all of my dogs.
