A splash of red caught my eye

No wee birds spotted this morning but there were plenty of crows in the trees and on the churned up grass and watching them tossing the leaves about there must have been something worth eating.

Looking carefully at the middle to high branches of the trees by the river I spotted both a male and female Bullfinch feeding on the new buds .... not close enough to be in the same photo and the male was in a better place.

Did some photograph sorting this afternoon and eventually discarded at least 500 from my waterfowl folder. I'm allowing myself to keep 20 images from each bird group and the rest must go into the bin and not my external hard drive which is for holidays and blip.
