WHAT'S NEXT

Three days ago it was a blizzard of snow.....followed quickly by two days of near 0°F. weather...next was a warmup to the freezing point and then we hit 33° F......one degree above freezing and then it started to rain.  Ground is frozen and covered with 2 feet of snow and the "warm" rain started to melt it all.

The snow on the roof, after being saturated with rain water, coalesced into a small glacier and began to slide down the eves and overflowed the gutters where, on the north side of the building, where the "sun don't shine" it refroze and the drips of water over the top of the glacier grew some impressive icicles hanging off the end of it.

The one you see above is easily a meter long and continuing to grow...might hit the ground by morning if the temperatures are favorable...an icy stalgtite, if you will. The Norway Spruce in the background was so leaden with ice that the lower branches were touching the ground due to the weight of it all.

Sunny tomorrow and colder.  Wisconsin is one of the few places on earth where, as the late Bob Hope once said, he "... could experience all four seasons in a single day."  Did I mention tornadoes just to the south of us?
