Iris reticulata

I was worried toward the end of last year when I thought that some digging beside our High Street - I think to do with the installation of broadband fibre - might have destroyed the small clump of Iris reticulata that comes up each year on the verge just along from our house.

Mrs Catspaw was more confident they might have survived - and, I am relieved to say, she was right.
