Watch. Trace. Crisp

We were on an adventure today in search of the Bearded Tit. There have been a few seen in the reed beds on the banks of the Exeter Canal this week. We even had the exact spot told to us by one of Jacqui’s birding friends. Using the app What Three Words they were seen in the square identified as Watch. Trace. Crisp. Using the app we found the exact spot on the canal looking over the reed beds towards Topsham. We watched, and ate crisps, but there was no trace. A bit disappointing but what a glorious day for a walk along the Exe and the canal. We stopped at the Turf Pub twice. Almost a perfect day. Bird of the day was not the BT but a huge flock of Brent Geese.
The boat was moored just near the Turf Pub.
