Gig Buddy

Great to catch up over a few beers with a fellow villager and occasional gig buddy tonight in Southwell; he works abroad quite frequently. Hoping his daughter will join us and enjoy a gig next week, particularly if it brings her out of teenage / post Covid doldrums.

Peter Hennessey was on BBC Radio 4 this morning talking about his new book "A Duty of Care: Britain Before and After Covid" and what the UK should have learned from Covid, but hasn't and other fundamentals: investment in social care , care of our planet, consistent industrial policy (& the problems with Tory free market dogma) et al.

Isobel Oxshot - who I normally despise, talking about her exposing of the Covid Crisis decision-making re lock downs as being reported currently in The Daily Telegraph.

Rishi Sunak. I don't generally agree with his politics, however at least he has integrity, leadership ability, intellect and seems to be addressing the Brexit issue re Northern Ireland as well as could be hoped for.
