Patience

About 10 years ago we planted a wisteria, and I envisioned a canopy of foliage heavily laden with blooms covering the pergola over our back deck. We were told they often don't bloom for the first year or so. Well, we waited, and each spring I hopefully scanned each branch for some sign of a bud forming ......nada!! Patience does indeed pay off. This year we finally have flowers - 13 of them to be exact! Not exactly what I had envisioned, but we do have the beginnings of a leafy canopy and I am very optimistic about next year's display!
