Little boxes

Little boxes but not, I'm sure, made out of ticky-tacky. These are the boxes at the Royal Festival Hall where I was again, this evening, for a Suzanne Vega concert. The support act was the brilliant English folk singer, Sam Lee, who had Bernard Butler of Suede with him on guitar. It was a great evening with a full and very appreciative house. Ms Vega did not sing any Pete Seeger sings but she  did do an excellent version of Lou Reed's Walk on the Wild Side. She also paid tribute to Elvis Costello in another song. Interestingly, and unusually for an established artist in my experience, she began her set with her best known song, Marlene on the Wall.
