Sunday service

There's no church in the village - in fact, there never has been. Loans is located within the parish of Dundonald, a larger village 2 miles away, over the hill. Each month, on the second Sunday, Dundonald Parish Church holds an afternoon service in Loans Village Hall. Today the service was led by one of the elders as the minister was attending the General Assembly in Edinburgh.
