Penguin Droppings

Hang out (of) the Bunting(s)

Part of a small flock of buntings seen in ash and willow trees a mile inland from the outskirts of Kirkcaldy.  About an hour before sunset - hence the warm shades on their plumage.

I think they are reed buntings but I await confirmation from a friend before I add the tags.

I was right.  Now confirmed as reed bunting, Emberiza schoeniclus.
