Dry, dry, dry…..

Most of the Taylor River upstream of this photo is currently “dry”. The riverbed looks dry but in fact water is still running deep under the shingle.
The rocks/large stones shown here usually have water running freely over the surface to the fresh water pool in the distance. I watch the surface of that pool and can detect almost insignificant ripples. They are waters that are running slowly under the dry rocks The water is being filtered as it runs. Hence the pool stays very clear and clean.
