Acts of deliberate notice

A couple of years back, my very talented brother made me a drying frame. It consists of three wooden trays with mesh bottoms in a wooden rack. It was an early project of his and doesn't fit together quite perfectly, but I love it so much. When we run low on dried herbs, I take a pair of scissors and go out in my mum's garden and harvest a fragrant bundle of fresh herbs. Then I take them back home, lay them out in my drying frame, and a week later I have dried herbs ready to crumble into their jars.
