Great-tailed Grackle

Arrived in Honduras at about 1:15 PM, then waited with one of our guides and another of our group for the remaining members of the group to arrive. Finally got underway and drove about 5 hours (!!!!) to The Lodge at Pico Bonito. We made ourselves at home briefly before meeting for dinner at 7:30 PM, grabbed a quick look at a wonderful black-and-white owl while waiting for our food to be served, and now I'm headed for bed.

This is a great-tailed grackle that I shot while we were stopping at a gas station/convenience store to use the bathroom and buy some cold drinks.

Tomorrow morning at 6:00 AM the full on birding begins!
