Chau Chak Wing Museum

Today we visited the Chau Chak Wing Museum in the grounds of Sydney Uni. In addition to its collections relating to art, science, history and ancient cultures, the museum also has temporary shows.

I was in the mood to capture some movement of people against projections on the walls of rooms displaying contemporary barkcloth paintings by the Omie people from the rainforest highlands of northern Papua New Guinea. I was unable to see any connection between the projections and the barkcloth paintings, but I liked their effect on the space.

The link below shows some of the barkcloth paintings.

Have a great start to the week.
